Hamilton College split a pair of non-conference matches and wrapped up its Florida trip on March 27.

Hamilton (4-2 overall) dropped a 9-0 decision against the University of Missouri-Kansas City, which is a Division I program, in Orlando on Wednesday morning. The Continentals rebounded with an 8-1 victory against Saint John's (Minn.) University at the Star Island Resort and Club in Kissimmee in the afternoon. UMKC improved its record to 5-8 and Saint John's dipped to 2-9.

Against Saint John's, James Oliver '15 gutted out a tough three-set win at first flight singles, 4-6, 6-3, (11-9). Oliver had teamed up with Jon Franzel '13 earlier for an 8-5 triumph at first flight doubles. Franzel also recorded a 6-4, 6-1 victory at second flight singles.

Matt Billet '15 was a 6-3, 6-4 winner at fourth singles, and partnered with Buck Reynolds '15 for an 8-6 win at second flight doubles. Jordan Petit '13 posted a 6-2, 6-4 victory at third flight singles, and Ben Stern '16 lost just one game at fifth singles. Kolya Kerz '13 breezed to a 6-1, 6-3 triumph at sixth singles.

Hamilton hosts Rensselaer for another non-conference match on Saturday, March 30.
