
Hamilton College was edged 5-4 by Colby College in a New England Small College Athletic Conference match at Hamilton’s Gray Tennis Courts on April 10.
The Continentals are 5-6 overall and 1-2 in NESCAC play, while Colby improved to 5-3 overall and 2-1 in the conference.
At first flight singles, Jon Franzel ’13 won a competitive match by scores of 7-6 (7-5), 6-7 (5-7), 6-3. Drew Libin ‘12 picked up a 6-2, 7-6 (7-2) victory at second flight singles. At sixth flight singles, Peter Erwin ’11 dropped his first set, 3-6, but rallied to win the next two, 6-4, 6-2. The team of Libin and Franzel recorded an 8-5 win over their opponents at first flight doubles.
