
Hamilton College dropped a pair of NESCAC matches on the road on April 6 and 7.
Hamilton (4-6 overall, 0-3 NESCAC) was edged 5-4 at Colby College in Waterville, Maine, on Saturday. Tufts University defeated the Continentals 7-2 in Medford, Mass., on Sunday.
Against Colby (8-2), Matt Billet '15 was a winner in singles and doubles action. Billet breezed to a 6-2, 6-1 victory at fourth flight singles, and teamed up with Buck Reynolds '15 for an 8-4 triumph at second flight doubles.
Jon Franzel '13 moved into fifth place on the program's all-time list with his 31st career singles win. Franzel prevailed 6-2, 1-6, 6-3 at second flight singles. Ben Stern '16 rallied for a 1-6, 7-5, 6-2 victory at fifth singles.
Against Tufts (6-3, 1-2), Hamilton won two of the three doubles matches. James Oliver '15 and Jordan Petit '13 were 8-6 winners at first flight, and Franzel and Ian Antonoff '16 won by the same score at third flight.
The Continentals host Hobart College for a non-conference match on Wednesday, April 10.
