
Hamilton College finished ninth out of 10 teams at the 2011 New York State Collegiate Track Conference championships, which were held at Rensselaer's Ned Harkness Track & Field on May 6 and 7.
Results
James Grebey '12 captured second place in the 1,500-meter run with a time of 3:57.23. Grebey's time qualified him for the 2011 Eastern College Athletic Conference Division III championships at Moravian College on May 19 and 20. He also made the NYSCTC all-conference team. The top three finishers in each event earn all-conference honors.
Jimmy Alexis '13 took fourth place in the pole vault as he cleared 4.25 meters. Sam Reider '14 also finished fourth in the 400-meter dash with a time of 49.93 seconds, which qualified him for the ECAC championships.
Josh Orndorff '11 was seventh in the hammer throw with a distance of 44.78 meters, and Hashem Zikry '13 ended up eighth in the 5,000-meter run in 15:32.84.
Hamilton posted 21 team points. Rensselaer won the team title with 180 points.
