
James Grebey ‘12 earned a first place finish for Hamilton College as the Continentals tied for seventh at the New York State Collegiate Track Conference championships, which were held at Rensselaer's Harkness Field on April 30 and May 1.
The Continentals finished with 25 team points and tied with Union College for seventh place. Ithaca College finished first with 220 team points. Rensselaer finished second with 185 points, and Rochester Institute of Technology finished third with 123.50 team points.
Grebey earned a victory in the 1,500-meter run with a time of 3:58.39. Grebey also claimed fourth place in the 800-meter run. He crossed the finish in 1:57.45.
Jimmy Alexis ’13 finished fifth in the pole vault with a mark of 4.25 meters. In the shot put, Josh Orndorff ‘11 recorded a mark of 13.22 meters, which earned him a sixth place finish. Devon Lynch ’11 placed eighth in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 9:53.60.
