Men's cross country finishes third at Geneseo
Hamilton College placed third of 13 teams at the 2011 SUNY Geneseo Invitational at Letchworth State Park in Castile, N.Y., on Oct. 1.
James Grebey '12 was the top finisher for the Continentals, placing fourth out of 160 runners on the 8-kilometer course in a time of 26 minutes, 33.4 seconds. Hashem Zikry '13 also turned in a top-10 time for Hamilton, finishing in ninth place in 26:54.9. Ben Yeo '14 was the next finisher for the Continentals in 15th with a time of 27:07.6.
Todd Woodworth '13 and Will Robertson '14 rounded out the top five for Hamilton. Woodworth finished in 55th place with a time of 28:15.2, and Robertson was the very next finisher in 28:15.8. The race-winning time was 25:59.9.
Nationally ranked No. 5 SUNY Geneseo captured the team title with a total of 23 points, and SUNY Brockport was second with 68. Hamilton finished third with 93 points, followed by No. 27 Rochester with 103.
Hamilton will host the Hamilton Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 8, at noon.
