Hamilton trustee Rob Morris ’76 was profiled in the October 2010 issue of Dow Jones Private Equity Analyst. Morris, founder and managing director of private equity firm Olympus Partners, sits on the board of Hamilton’s Endowment Fund.

Morris earned a master’s degree in business administration from Dartmouth’s Tuck School. Prior to founding Olympus partners, he worked in various roles at General Electric Co., most recently as manager of GE Pension Trust’s $1.6 billion private equity portfolio.

In response to the profile question, “What personal quality has helped you most in your career,” Morris answered, “A keen sense of humor has been valuable in both my career highs and lows. My first boss mentioned we were born with two ears and one mouth which should be used in that ratio. The skill to listen well before acting has been extremely helpful.”
