Monk Rowe Performs

Hamilton’s Department of Music starts off the semester with two faculty concerts in Wellin Hall, Schambach Center.  The faculty artists of the Department of Music present the Fall Faculty Concert on Friday, Sept. 6, at 7:30 pm. This concert will feature solo performances by Sar-Shalom Strong, piano; Allan Kolsky, clarinet; Monk Rowe, saxophone; Tina Toglia, piano; Katie Martins, oboe; and others.

The Jazz Kick Off Concert is scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 11, at 9 p.m.  “Doc” Woods, composer and bass, presents a fun evening of funky new tunes written for the concert. The band includes guest artist Jakubu Griffin, percussion; Jeff Stockham, trumpet; Bob Cesari, saxophone; Marty Hollister, trombone; Joe Handy, guitar; Tom Witkowski, keyboard; and Sar-Shalom Strong, piano.
