Hamilton College conducted a large-scale, live emergency drill in partnership with the New York State Police and the New York Air National Guard on March 18. To comply with the federal Clery Act, the College is required to test its response systems annually. The drill was coordinated by Hamilton’s Emergency Response Team (HERT) and Campus Safety.

Drill activities took place in several locations on campus and just after noon the National Guard landed a Chinook helicopter on Minor field.

The New York State Police and Army National Guard will continue some of their own training on campus through Thursday, March 21.

The $400 million campaign marked the most ambitious fundraising initiative in the College's history.
