The Hamilton College men's cross country team moved up to an all-time best ranking of 25th in the latest Division III Top 35 coaches poll released on Nov. 16.

USTFCCCA Division III Top 35 coaches poll

The Continentals debuted in the poll for the first time in program history in October. They were No. 28 in the previous rankings on Nov. 4.

The Hamilton men moved up three spots in this week's poll on the strength of finishing third out of 40 teams at the NCAA Atlantic Regional Men's Cross Country Championship at Letchworth State Park on Nov. 14. At the regional meet, the Continentals finished ahead of two teams that were ranked above them in the poll at the time.

The performance at regionals came on the heels of another strong showing at the NESCAC Men's Cross Country Championship on Oct. 31. Hamilton finished fourth -- the team's best placement since 1988 -- and once again was ahead of two nationally ranked teams in the standings.

The Continentals race in the 2015 NCAA Division III Men's Cross Country Championship at Lake Breeze Golf Club in Winneconne, Wis., on Saturday, Nov. 21, at 1:30 p.m. Eastern time.
