The Hamilton College rowing teams raced against St. Lawrence University on Saturday on Rome’s Erie Canal. The varsity 8 boats swept their races, winning the Newell and Houlihan Cups.

The Continentals and Saints competed on a 2,000-meter course facing a headwind that increased throughout the day.

On the women’s side, the nationally ranked No. 5 varsity 8 and the second varsity 8 both defeated St. Lawrence’s varsity 8.
