The rowing teams competed at Cayuga Inlet on Saturday, racing in a strong headwind against boats from Colgate University, Marist College and host Ithaca College.

On the women’s side, the Continentals won three of the six races they entered. Two of the wins came from the varsity 8, ranked fifth in the latest Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association Division III Top 15 poll. Hamilton beat No. 8 Ithaca by nearly 12 seconds in a heat then topped Colgate in the grand final.

The Continentals also picked up a win in the second varsity 8 petite final.

Hamilton races at the New York State Championships on Saturday, May 2, on Fish Creek in Saratoga Springs.
