Assistant Professor of Biology Andrea Townsend was a plenary speaker at the 2017 Birders Meeting of the Massachusetts Audubon Society on March 19th in Boston.
In “How Will Climate Change Affect Warblers? A Case Study Using Black-Throated Blue Warblers,” Townsend explained the potential consequences—both positive and negative—of climate change for migratory songbirds. The emphasis of her talk was on her research with black-throated blue warblers in the White Mountains of New Hampshire.
Townsend also presented invited seminars at Lafayette College, Colgate University and Villanova University during spring break.
