Derek Jones, the Irma M. and Robert D. Morris Professor of Economics, was a discussant of the keynote presentation at the Mid-Year Fellows Workshop on Capital Shares and Research Questions in the Social Sciences. The event took place at Rutgers University Jan. 15 to 17.
The keynote presentation was a “Transforming Capitalism Through Real Utopias: The Role of Broad-based Worker Ownership and Broad-based Citizen Property Ownership and Basic Income” by Erik Olin Wright, the Vilas Distinguished Professor of Sociology at the University of Wisconsin and former president of the American Sociological Association.
