Assistant Professor of Physics Kristen Burson and Visiting Assistant Professor of Physics Charles Collett presented papers at the American Physical Society (APS) March Meeting in Los Angeles.

Burson presented a talk titled “The Atomic Structure of a Metal-Supported Two-Dimensional Germania Film.” Her discussion was based on a project with Hannah Burrall ’19 and others at the Fritz-Haber Institute in Berlin, Germany, last summer.

Collett presented “Spin echo measurements at an avoided crossing in the molecular nanomagnet Cr7Mn*,” based on his work with researchers at Amherst College, the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and the University of Manchester.

The $400 million campaign marked the most ambitious fundraising initiative in the College's history.
