Assistant Professor of Physics Viva Horowitz gave an invited research presentation titled “Confining colloids: From dynamic artificial cells to luminescent nanodiamond sensors” at the Syracuse University Condensed Matter seminar on Oct. 13.
Horowitz presented her work building dynamic artificial cells using chemically self-propelled Janus swimmers and building a magnetic sensor using luminescent nanoparticle diamonds.
