Martha Rhodes, writer-in-residence at Hamilton College, will give a reading of her poetry on Thursday, Feb. 20, at 8 p.m. in the Beinecke Events Barn. It is free and open to the public and will be followed by a reception.

Martha Rhodes is the author of two poetry collections: Perfect Disappearance (winner of the 2000 Green Rose Prize from New Issues Press), and At the Gate (Provincetown Arts, 1995). Her poems have appeared in many anthologies, including The New American Poets: A Bread Loaf Anthology (Michael Collier, ed. University Press of New England, 2000), and individually in such journals as Agni, American Poetry Review, Ploughshares, and TriQuarterly. She teaches creative writing at Emerson College, New School University and in the MFA program for writers at Warren Wilson College. A founding editor and director of Four Way Books in New York City, Rhodes lives in Manhattan.
