“The Happiness of Refugees in the United States: Evidence from Utica, NY” is featured in the current issue of the Journal of Refugee Studies. The article was co-authored by Professor of Economics Paul Hagstrom, former Assistant Professor of Economics Javier Pereira, and Irma M. and Robert D. Morris Professor of Economics Stephen Wu.
Originally published online in 2019 and now included in the journal’s March 2021 print issue, the article presents the results of the authors’ study of more than 600 local refugees and the factors that contribute to their happiness.
