Hamilton College's Eva Rosencrans '17 (Greenwich, Conn./Greenwich Academy) was selected the NESCAC Field Hockey Player of the Week on Sept. 28.

The player of the week honor is the first for the Continentals' field hockey program since they joined the NESCAC in the sport in 2011.

Rosencrans finished with three goals and two assists for eight points in a 2-0 week for Hamilton. She is tied for second in the NESCAC with seven goals this year and is third with 16 points. She is third on the program's all-time list with 32 career goals and 69 points.

In Saturday's 4-3 NESCAC win at Connecticut College, Rosencrans scored the game-winner 1:53 into the first sudden-victory overtime period. She also assisted on the second and third goals as the Continentals rallied from a 2-0 deficit.

In Wednesday's 4-3 non-conference victory against SUNY Geneseo, Rosencrans tied the score at 3-3 with 16:20 left in the second half. She tallied the winning goal with 6:18 to go.

Rosencrans leads Hamilton into a pair of NESCAC contests this weekend. The Continentals host Wesleyan University on Saturday, Oct. 3, at noon and take on Tufts University at home on Sunday at noon.
