Hamilton College’s rowing teams opened their 2015-16 seasons Saturday, racing at the Head of the Genesee in Rochester.

Three boats competed for the Continentals with the top performance coming from the women’s open 4, which took second in a field that included 14 boats. The Continentals’ time of 18:44.42 trailed only Case Western Reserve in the standings.
The men’s varsity 8 took seventh among 13 entrants, posting a time of 15:17.16. The women’s varsity 8 took eighth among the 14 boats competing, finishing in 17:16.80.
The teams host the Bridge to Bridge Regatta Saturday at Rome’s Erie Canal.
