2013 NESCAC Softball All-Conference Team
Gozdz had a remarkable debut season and was one of only two rookies on the all-conference first team. She is the first Hamilton player voted to the all-NESCAC first team, and the first on the all-conference team since Amber O’Connor '09 earned a spot on the second team in 2009. Gozdz is also the first Hamilton all-conference first-year player since O’Connor in 2006.
Gozdz is ranked second in the NESCAC with a .472 batting average. The outfielder set a program single-season record with 50 hits and finished one shy of tying the single-season mark in doubles with 12. She is ranked fourth in the conference with a .504 on-base percentage and seventh with a .604 slugging percentage, and led the team with 23 runs scored. Gozdz ended the year on a 15-game hit streak and posted 17 multi-hit games.
Hamilton (13-22 overall, 2-10 NESCAC West Division) finished the year with its highest win total since 2002, when the Continentals also ended up with 13 victories. Hamilton's 4-1 win at Williams College on April 27 was the Continentals' first victory against Williams since April 7, 2002.
