
The Hamilton College Jazz Ensemble will celebrate Cinco de Mayo with its spring concert on Thursday, May 5, at 8 p.m., in Wellin Hall.
Lead by “Doctuh” Michael E. Woods, the Jazz Ensemble will play a selection of jazz standards and new charts for big band. The ensemble will be joined by special guest Staff Sgt. Ken Ebo, trombone Ebo is the lead trombonist with the Marine Corps All-Star Jazz Band.
Professor of Music “Doctuh” Michael Woods is the director of Jazz Studies at Hamilton College. He has written more than 500 pieces in all styles and his compositions have been performed by symphonies and orchestras across the U.S.
