Mark Dolan, formerly the head men's tennis coach at Bradley University in Peoria, Ill., has been named the men's and women's tennis coach at Hamilton College.

Dolan guided Bradley to five wins in 2006-07 – his one season with the team. The Bradley job wasn't his first in NCAA Division I. Dolan coached the men at the University of Hartford from 1997 to 2002 and mentored the women from 1999 to 2002.

Dolan was selected the America East Conference Coach of the Year in 2002 after the Hartford men posted an undefeated America East record and were crowned conference champions. Hartford went on to compete in the NCAA championships tournament that year. He coached four-time conference men's Player of the Year Pedja Zdravkovic and the women's 2002 conference Player of the Year in Sabine Dyrchs. Dolan has served on the NCAA tournament's selection committee for the East region.

"I am excited to hire someone with the previous collegiate experience that Mark possesses," Hamilton College director of athletics Jon Hind said. "His enthusiasm and passion for coaching will prove to benefit the tennis programs and our department."

Dolan was the boys' tennis coach at Glastonbury High School in Connecticut from 1993 to 1997. He led Glastonbury to state doubles titles in 1995 and 1996. Dolan started his coaching career at Cazenovia College in 1992. He has also been the director of tennis and head professional at Glastonbury's Woodledge Country Club and at Pine Grove Tennis and Fitness in Syracuse, N.Y.

Dolan earned a bachelor's degree in sociology from Le Moyne College. He resides in Pennellville. The Hamilton men's and women's tennis teams begin their spring season in Florida on Sunday, March 16. The men play Western New England College and the women take on Grinnell College.
