Walsh and Ohanesian qualified for nationals by placing seventh and eighth, respectively, at last Saturday’s NCAA Division III Atlantic Regional Championships. In the men’s race, Adam Pfander ’16 placed 66th among the 275 runners with a time of 25:41.8 over 8,000 meters. At last Saturday’s regional championships, Pfander finished 19th to earn a bid to nationals.
He was the first Hamilton men's qualifier since Peter Kosgei ’11, a three-time all-American who set the course record at Hanover’s L.S. Ayres Athletic Complex in 2008 (24:22.1).
