Heather Buchman, the Carolyn and David M. Ellis ’38 Distinguished Teaching Professor of Music and director of Orchestra and Chamber Music, was recently elected to serve a three-year term on the International Trombone Association (ITA) Board of Advisors.
According to its website, the ITA was founded in 1972 and, with 4,000 members from 74 countries, is the largest association of trombonists. The organization’s mission is to “promote the trombone and all trombone-related activities across the world.”
