Two Hamilton College lacrosse players were honored by the Liberty League on April 19 when the league selected its weekly award winners.
Rob Dickson '10 (Darien, Conn./Brunswick School) was a men's co-defensive performer of the week pick, and Lauren Sokol '12 (Colts Neck, N.J./Peddie School) was named a women's co-defensive performer of the week for the second time this year.
Dickson led a defense that allowed just six goals in a 9-6 win at Clarkson University on April 17. Hamilton (8-2 overall, 2-2 Liberty) is allowing opponents an average of 6.1 goals through 10 games. The team received votes in this week's Division III Top 20 coaches poll.
Sokol picked up five ground balls, won six draw controls and caused two turnovers in two lopsided wins last week. She ranks third on the team with 12 caused turnovers. The Continentals (12-0 overall, 5-0 Liberty) are ranked No. 1 in this week's Top 20 coaches poll and are the only undefeated women's lacrosse team in NCAA Division III.
