The Hamilton College volleyball team lost a non-league match to SUNY Oswego Tuesday night at Hamilton’s Margaret Bundy Scott Field House. The Lakers swept the match, winning 27-25, 25-19 and 25-17.

The Continentals (3-13 overall) staged a pair of big rallies in the first set. Oswego scored the first eight points but Hamilton clawed back to pull even at 9-9. After the Lakers (18-7) moved ahead 23-17, the hosts ran off seven straight points to take their first lead before Oswego claimed the 27-25 win.

Erin Donahue ’18, Margaret O’Brien ’18 and Jessica Weston ’17 each had eight kills to pace Hamilton. Kyndal Burdin ’18 led the Continentals with 16 assists and Meghan Wilkinson ’19 contributed 15. Jamie Granskie ’16 finished with 22 digs and Burdin chipped in 12. Weston was in on four of Hamilton’s five blocks and Claire Kitz ’19 contributed to three.

The Lakers received 10 kills from both Ariel Murawski and Megan Russell. Lauren Edwards' 19 assists and 12 digs were both team-best figures. Kim Cassa and Rachel Ruggaber finished with 11 digs apiece. Murawski had five blocks and Russell contributed four; Alison Sullivan’s seven blocks led all players.

The Continentals make their final NESCAC road trip of the season this weekend, playing an 8 p.m. match at Bates Friday before traveling to Colby for a 2 p.m. match Saturday.
