The Hamilton College volleyball team opened its final weekend with a loss to visiting Tufts in a NESCAC match Friday night at Margaret Bundy Scott Field House. The Jumbos swept the match, winning 25-14, 25-16, 25-21.

The Continentals (6-17, 1-8 NESCAC) fought back from deficits of 7-0 and 10-3 in the third set, tying the score at 14-all. after the Jumbos (17-6, 7-2) took a 23-19 lead, Hamilton pulled to within two points before the visitors sealed the win.
Jamie Granskie ’16, the team’s lone senior, was recognized before the match and finished with a team-leading 11 digs. Sophie Zacharakis '19 recorded 10 and Meghan Wilkinson ’19 added nine.
Wilkinson led Hamilton with 15 assists and Kyndal Burdin ’18 had 10. Erin Donahue ’18 had a team-best nine kills. Margaret O’Brien ’18 was in on all three Hamilton blocks.
The Jumbos – who hit .340 for the match – were led by Elizabeth Ahrens and Maddie Kuppe who both had nine kills. MacKenzie Bright and Katie Kim had eight apiece. Carolina Berger led all players with 19 digs and Alex Garrett finished with 11. McKenzie Humann had four blocks and Angela Yu recorded 19 assists.
The Continentals wrap up their season Saturday, hosting Connecticut College in a 2 p.m. NESCAC match.
