Progress continues on construction of the Ruth and Elmer Wellin Museum of Art, with its dedication ceremony scheduled for Friday, Oct. 5, 5:30 p.m., during Fallcoming Weekend.
On Aug. 9, Edwin Goodell, an associate in the museum’s architectural design firm of Machado and Silvetti Associates, toured the construction site. Wood flooring in the main gallery has been installed and will be sanded and coated this week. Installation of the Goppion glass storage cases in the Archive Hall is in progress. The front plaza will be formed up early in the week and poured at the end of the week.
