Professor of Biology Ernest Williams gave an invited lecture to the Biology Department at Boston University on Jan. 23. The title was "Population Trends and Overwinter Survival in Monarch Butterflies." During the day, he also met with butterfly research groups from BU and Harvard about the influence of climate change on the timing of butterfly emergence, population features of checkerspot butterflies, and habitat management for lupines and rare butterflies.
