Hamilton College finished second in the varsity eights race against St. Lawrence University in Waddington, N.Y., on April 17.
 
There was a 10 mile-per-hour tailwind/tail current on the last 500 meters of the course. Hamilton finished the 2,000 meters in 6:29.1. St. Lawrence's winning time was 6:20.1.
 
St. Lawrence also earned a victory in the second varsity eights. The Saints finished with a time of 6:31.7. Hamilton crossed the finish in 6:42.9.  In the third varsity eights, St. Lawrence claimed first in 6:41.5, and Hamilton recorded a time of 7:02.1.
 
Hamilton earned a win in the varsity fours with a time of 7:07.6. The St. Lawrence entry followed in 7:10.5.
 
Sophie Breene ‘12 was coxswain for the varsity eight. The rest of the boat included Lily Ericsson ‘10 at stroke, Katie Peterson ‘12 in the bow seat and the following rowers (seats seven through two in descending order): Allison Boyaris ‘12, Holly Bailey ‘12, Lizzie Collins ‘10Antonia Villa ‘12, Ricki Feldman ‘10 and Kendall Scott ‘10.

was coxswain for the second varsity eight. The rest of the boat included Izzy Cannell ‘11 at stroke, Ally Fried ‘13 in the bow seat and the following rowers (seats seven through two in descending order): Virginia Slattery ‘12, Pam Lewis ‘11, Katya Adair ‘10, Helen Higgins ‘13, Alice Dannenberg ‘11 and Christine Raia ‘10.
 
Kelsey Burke ‘13 was coxswain for the third varsity eight. The rest of the boat included Rachel Johnson '13 at stroke, Iris Greenquist ‘13 in the bow seat and the following rowers (seats seven through two in descending order): Fionna Hoffman-Harland ‘13, Alex Orlov ’13, Meg Schlosser ’13, Ellen Doernberg ‘13, Cara Quigley ‘13 and Livy Houston ‘13.
 
Burke was coxswain for the varsity four. The rest of the boat included Johnson at stroke, Fried in the bow seat, Orlov in 3-seat and Higgins in 2-seat.
