The Hamilton College Continentals placed 11th at the 2015 NESCAC Women's Cross Country Championship at Long Lane Farm in Middletown, Conn., on Saturday afternoon.

Results

Hamilton's Michelle Fish '17, who won the individual title at last week's New York State Collegiate Track Conference Championship, paced the Continentals in 49th place out of 123 runners with a 6-kilometer time of 23:36.2. Hanna Jerome '18 was next in 57th place and a time of 23:53.1.

Lindsay Heyer '17 finished 60th with a time of 23:54.4 and Samantha Buttrick '17 recorded a time of 24:57.6. Rachel Newman '16 rounded out Hamilton's top five with a time of 25:02.8.

The field included four nationally ranked teams, including No. 2 Williams College, which captured the team title with 30 points. Fourth-ranked Tufts University was a distant second with 66 points.

The Hamilton women are off until Saturday, Nov. 14, when they compete in the 2015 NCAA Division III Atlantic Regional Championships at Letchworth State Park in Mount Morris, N.Y.
