Hamilton College utilized five all-state efforts to finish in third place at the New York State Collegiate Track Conference championship on its own 5,000-meter course on Nov. 8.

Emily Potter '12 (19:36.4) and Meredith FitzPatrick '11 (19:40.4) finished in ninth and 10th place, respectively, garnering Second Team all-state accolades. The first 21 runners make the all-state team. FitzPatrick was named to the all-state team for the second straight year. A St. Lawrence University runner finished first with a time of 18:28.4.

Gen Flanders '09 finished next for the Continentals in 16th place with a time of 20:07.3. Kate Hails '10 finished 19th in 20:15.6 and Abby King '11 crossed in 20:16.1 for 21st place. All three runners earned spots on the all-state Third Team.

Hamilton finished with 75 points. St. Lawrence University topped the 10-team field with 53. Hamilton will travel to St. Lawrence on Saturday, Nov. 15, to compete in the NCAA Division III Atlantic Regional championship.
