Meredith FitzPatrick '11 led Hamilton College to third place at the 10-team 2010 New York State Collegiate Track Conference championships held at Saratoga Spa State Park on Oct. 23.
FitzPatrick finished seventh of 102 runners with a time of 18 minutes, 9 seconds on the 5-kilometer course. It was her best 5K time at Hamilton, and she earned first team all-conference honors. The individual winner finished in 16:49.
Maddy Gunter '11 made third team all-conference for finishing 15th in 18:47. Emily Potter '12 was 25th with a time of 19:01, and Abby King '11 ended up 34th in 19:17. Sara Scheineson '12 rounded out the team's top five in 39th place with a time of 19:25.
Gunter, Potter and Scheineson also set personal records on Saturday. The Continentals finished with 106 team points. Nationally ranked No. 2 St. Lawrence University won the team title with 28 points, and Ithaca College was runner-up with 46.
Hamilton hosts the 2010 New England Small College Athletic Conference championships on Saturday, Oct. 30.
