Hamilton College placed five runners in the top 10 and took first place out of 11 schools at the 2012 Hamilton College Invitational on Oct. 6.

Results

The Continentals captured the team competition with 33 points. Division II East Stroudsburg University finished second with 42 points and Utica College came in third with 92. East Stroudsburg's Corinne Fitzgerald ’13 won the individual title with a time of 18:19.8.

Sarah Ohanesian '14 completed the 5-kilometer course in 18 minutes, 35.6 seconds and finished in third place out of 135 runners for the Continentals. Ohanesian's performance was good enough to rank fifth on the top course times list for Hamilton athletes.

Lainie Smith '16 was the top freshman finisher in the event in fourth place with a time of 18:40.3, which ranks sixth on the top course times.
Allie Gurney '15 took seventh place in 19:04.3 and holds down the 15th spot on the top times list.

Hannah Lyons '14 was ninth in 19:14.7 and made the top course times list in 19th place. Hallie Loft '15 rounded out the scorers for Hamilton in 10th place at 19:22.5.

The Continentals take next weekend off before returning to the trails for the New York State Collegiate Track Conference championship at Center Park in Fairport, N.Y., on Saturday, Oct. 20.
