Hamilton College bested Nazareth College in the Continentals' own invitational at Yahnundasis Golf Club in New Hartford, N.Y., on Saturday and Sunday.


Hamilton's tournament consisted of 10 golfers, including one from SUNY Cobleskill. The Continentals' four-person team score was 336 on Saturday and they improved to a program-record 328 on the last day for a tournament total of 664.

Hamilton's Electra Washburn '19 was individual medalist for the second straight tournament after she fired a 7-over-par 80 both days and finished at 160. Libbie Warner '19 had the team's best round of the weekend with a 6-over 79 on Sunday and ended up at 164 for 36 holes.

Katie Veasey '17 finished one shot behind Warner after she equaled her collegiate best with an 80 in her first round and added an 85 in the second. Veasey's 36-hole score of 165 is a new career mark. Liz Morris '16 posted an 84 in the final round and shot 175 for the weekend. Both scores are career bests for Morris.

The Continentals compete in the Le Moyne College Invitational at Timber Banks Golf Club in Baldwinsville, N.Y., on Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 3 and 4.

The $400 million campaign marked the most ambitious fundraising initiative in the College's history.
