Hamilton College women's hockey player Stephanie Miguel '11 (Maple, Ontario/St. Robert Catholic HS) has been selected to the 2009 RBK Hockey Division III All-America Team by the American Hockey Coaches Association.
Miguel was one of three forwards placed on the East Region's Second Team. A total of 12 players from programs in the East Region and six more players from teams in the West Region made the All-America Team.
Miguel is the first Hamilton women's hockey player to receive All-America honors. She finished eighth in NCAA Division III with 1.48 points per game, fourth with 0.84 goals per game and tied for 11th place with seven power-play goals.
Miguel finished the season with 21 goals and 16 assists for 37 points. Her point total is the most by a Hamilton player in one season since 2002-03. Miguel more than doubled the 15 points she registered as a rookie.
Earlier in March, Miguel was voted a co-Player of the Year in the New England Small College Athletic Conference. She also made the all-conference first team. She is the first Hamilton women's hockey player to receive NESCAC Player of the Year honors.
