Hamilton College head women's ice hockey coach Brendon Knight has selected former St. Lawrence University standout Alison Domenico to join his staff as an assistant coach for 2009-10.

Domenico was a four-year letter winner at St. Lawrence in its Division I program from 2005 to 2009. She finished her college career with 62 goals and 78 assists for 140 points. She helped lead the Saints to the NCAA tournament all four years, including the semifinals of the Frozen Four in 2006 and 2007. St. Lawrence won 112 games with Domenico, and the team posted a record of 31-5-2 in her first season.

Domenico's finest season was her last in 2008-09, when she finished with 16 goals and a career-high 21 assists, and was a team captain. She was selected the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) defensive forward of the year and made second team all-league after that season. She was named her team's defensive player of the year in 2008 and 2009.

The Ottawa native played for Team Ontario from 2003 to 2005. She was a captain as the team won the gold medal at the Under-18 national tournament in 2005. She was also a gold medalist at the 2003 Canada Winter Games.

Domenico received her bachelor's degree in sociology and performance and communication in 2009. She earned national scholar-athlete honors from the American Women's Hockey Coaches Association in 2009 and was on the ECAC all-academic team that same year. She made Dean's List three times at St. Lawrence.
