Hamilton College's Katie Zimmerman '13 (Plymouth, Mich./Plymouth-Salem HS) was a NESCAC women's ice hockey co-player of the week selection on Dec. 5.

The NESCAC honor is the first for Zimmerman. She scored five goals and assisted on two others in a pair of victories against Connecticut College at home on Dec. 2 and 3.

Zimmerman exploded for four goals and five total points in Saturday's 7-3 win against the Camels. She is the first Hamilton player to post five points in a game since Stephanie Miguel '11 did it on Jan. 25, 2009. The last player to score four or more goals in a game for the Continentals was Zoë Baldwin (five) on Dec. 3, 2004.

Zimmerman is tied for first in the NESCAC with five goals and tied for fourth with seven points. She leads Hamilton into a non-conference game against SUNY Oswego at Russell Sage Rink on Tuesday, Dec. 6.
