Hamilton College’s Rachel Friedman '13 (Fairfield, Conn./Fairfield Warde HS) was selected the NESCAC women’s lacrosse player of the week on March 11.

Friedman tallied 10 points on six goals and four assists as nationally ranked No. 16 Hamilton opened 2013 with victories at home against No. 14 Tufts University and Wesleyan University. She scored four goals and added one assist in Saturday’s 11-7 win over Tufts. On Sunday, Friedman posted two goals and three assists as the Continentals defeated the Cardinals, 9-6.

Friedman leads the team in points and is tied for first in goals. She moved into third place on the program's all-time list with 155 goals and is tied for fifth with Liz Longley '07 with 197 career points.

Hamilton (2-0 overall, 2-0 NESCAC) returns to action on Thursday, March 14, when the Continentals host William Smith College for a non-conference game.
