Sokol was one of four defenders named to the 16-member second team. A total of 48 players were recognized on three All-America teams by the IWLCA, and they will be honored in King of Prussia, Pa., on June 16.
Sokol is the sixth two-time All-American in Hamilton women's lacrosse history. She was a first team All-American in 2010 after she helped lead Hamilton to the NCAA title game. Seventeen Hamilton women's lacrosse players have received a total of 23 All-America awards.
The 2012 NESCAC all-conference first team honoree tied for ninth in the conference with 45 draw controls, and ranked 10th with 1.41 caused turnovers per game. Sokol was an all-region selection for the Empire Region in 2010 and 2012, and was a 2010 ECAC Division III Upstate all-star.
Sokol helped lead Hamilton (7-10 overall, 4-6 NESCAC) to the 2012 NESCAC Championship semifinals as the No. 7 seed in the Continentals' first year in the conference. Hamilton defeated Colby College 9-4 in the quarterfinals on April 28 before the Continentals fell 9-8 in overtime to eventual conference and national champion Trinity College on May 5. Hamilton competed in the Liberty League for lacrosse from 1996 to 2011.
