Hamilton College is the new No. 1 team in this week's Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association Division III Top 20 poll.
Hamilton, which has been ranked in the top five all year, is the only undefeated team left in Division III women's lacrosse at 12-0. The Continentals ascended to the top spot after two convincing wins last week, coupled with College of New Jersey suffering its first loss -- 12-11 at home against unranked Rowan University.
Hamilton is No. 1 in the coaches poll for the first time since March 17, 2009. The Continentals host Utica College for a non-league game on Tuesday, April 20, and travel to the University of Rochester for a Liberty League contest on Saturday, April 24.
