The Hamilton College women’s lacrosse team has been honored as an academic squad by the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA).
The IWLCA recognized a total of 61 teams with academic squad honors for 2010. Every school with a team GPA of 3.0 or higher earned academic squad honors. Of the 64 institutions, 13 participated in the NCAA Division III championships, including Hamilton, and semifinalists Gettysburg College and Franklin & Marshall College.
The Continentals advanced to the 2010 NCAA championships final and finished with a record of 21-1. The 21 wins tied a team record that was originally set in 2008, when Hamilton won the national championship.
