2013 Division III Pocock All-America Team

Walton was one of nine rowers placed on the second team. She is the second All-American in program history after Holly Bailey ’12 earned the honor last year.

Walton, who is a two-year varsity letter winner, earned spots on the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) and NESCAC all-conference teams earlier in May. She spent the spring season rowing in the five-seat of the varsity eight. Walton helped Hamilton retain the Gilman Plate for the eighth straight year with a win in the varsity eight against Union College in April, and was part of a varsity eight that placed fourth in the third final at the ECAC championships in May.

Hamilton was ranked No. 11 in the USRowing/CRCA Division III Top 15 poll at the start of the spring season and spent three weeks in the poll. In the final 2013 NCAA Division III regional rankings, Hamilton was No. 4 in the New York Region.
