Laura Brandimarte '11 and Erica Dressler '09 scored two goals apiece and nationally ranked No. 23 Hamilton College cruised to an 8-0 non-league win against host SUNY Institute of Technology in Marcy, N.Y., on Sept. 7.

Lauren Farver '11 added one goal and two assists for Hamilton (2-0 overall). Megan Cairns '12, Jessy Gelber '09 and Makeda McGowan '12 notched one goal each. Katie Lyons '11 was credited with two assists and Maria Treacy '12 had one. Hailey Bobin '12 made two diving saves in the second half. Bobin started in goal for the first time in her collegiate career.

Hamilton scored twice in the opening three minutes and led 3-0 at the half. The Continentals won for the second time in less than 24 hours and extended their regular season unbeaten streak to 17 games. Hamilton advanced to the quarterfinals of the NCAA tournament in 2007.

The Continentals dominated the action throughout this contest. Hamilton held a 45-3 advantage in shots and took 12 corner kicks to just one for SUNYIT (1-1). Head coach Colette Gilligan brought 12 players off her bench. The Continentals play SUNY Cortland in their home opener on Thursday, Sept. 11, at 4 p.m.
