Alex Rimmer '13 led Hamilton College as she scored both goals in a 2-0 win over Hartwick College in a non-league game at Love Field on Sept. 29.

Hamilton (4-3-0 overall) is 8-0-2 in its last 10 meetings with the Hawks. The Continentals were playing their first home game since Sept. 5. Hamilton is 2-0 and has outscored its opponents 6-0 at home this year. Hartwick (2-5-0) lost its third straight game.
 
Hamilton had a scoring opportunity in the 35th minute when Laura Brandimarte '11 fired a shot that banged off the left post. With 2:39 remaining in the first half, Meg Pengue '13 sent a pass into the box from the right side. The Hartwick goalie came out to play it, but the ball bounced under her, and Rimmer shot it into the open net. 
 
In the 73rd minute, Hamilton added to its lead when Rimmer put a header into the back of the net off a corner kick by Lauren Farver '11. Rimmer is tied for the team lead with six goals, and leads in points with 13. Hamilton had a few other scoring opportunities late in the game, including a shot by Ricki Feldman '10 that hit the crossbar.
 
Kate Fowler '10 only had to make three saves in the win. It was her first shutout of the season.
 
The Continentals dominated in shots with 25, while Hartwick took eight. Hamilton also held the advantage in corner kicks, 6-0.
 
Hamilton returns to the field on Saturday, Oct. 3, when it hosts nationally ranked William Smith College for a Liberty League game at 1 p.m.
