Women's soccer player honored by NESCAC

Hamilton College forward Alex Rimmer '13 (Rye, N.Y./Rye HS) was selected the NESCAC women's soccer player of the week on Sept. 17.

Rimmer tallied five points on two goals and one assist in three wins last week. She scored both goals in a 2-1 NESCAC win at Connecticut College on Sept. 15.

On Sept. 16 in another NESCAC game at Wesleyan University, Rimmer assisted on the game-winning goal by Hannah Withiam '16 with 24 seconds remaining in the first sudden-victory overtime period. Withiam was the conference's first women's soccer player of the week of the season on Sept. 10.

Rimmer moved into third place on the program's all-time list with 32 career goals and is fourth all-time with 69 points.

Hamilton (5-0-0 overall, 3-0 NESCAC) has opened the season with five straight victories for the first time since 2008. The Continentals travel to Amherst College for a NESCAC game on Saturday, Sept. 22.
