
Caitlin McGilley '08 made three saves to register her second consecutive shutout, but Hamilton College and Rochester Institute of Technology played to a 0-0 tie in a non-league game played in Rochester, N.Y., on Sept. 13.
McGilley has seven career shutouts and lowered her goals against average to .31 in 290 minutes this year. Hamilton (2-0-1 overall) has three wins and a tie in its last four games against the Tigers. RIT (0-3-2) has not scored during that stretch.
The Continentals doubled up the the Tigers in shots, 18-9, and held a 4-1 advantage in corner kicks. RIT took one shot in the second overtime, but it forced McGilley to make a diving save with six minutes left to keep the game scoreless. Less than a minute later, Hamilton's Erica Dressler '09 hit the crossbar on a partial breakaway. Dressler has a team-high three goals.
The Continentals are off until Tuesday, Sept. 19, when they host Hartwick College for a non-league game on Love Field at 5 p.m.
