Sixth-seeded Hamilton College fell to No. 5 Bates College, 8-1, in the New England Small College Athletic Conference championship fifth place match at Trinity College's Kellner Squash Center on Feb. 1.
Ashley Pardoe '09 picked up Hamilton's only point at the ninth position. She won her match in four games (5-9, 9-5, 9-2, 9-2). Danielle Forsyth '11 extended her opponent to five games at the third position. The Continentals, who split four matches at the NESCAC championship, finished the weekend with an overall record of 10-7.
Hamilton hosts two matches at the Little Squash Center on Saturday, Feb. 7. The Continentals will take on St. Lawrence University and William Smith College.
