Hamilton College lost its opening New England Small College Athletic Conference match against host Colby College, 6-3, in Waterville, Maine, on April 4.
Hamilton (1-7 overall, 0-1 NESCAC) travels to Tufts University for another NESCAC contest on Sunday, April 5. Colby improved to 3-5 overall and 1-0 in the conference.
Ashley Pardoe '09 won at first flight singles for Hamilton in straight sets (6-4, 6-3). Deborah Barany '11 also won in straight sets (6-2, 6-1) at third flight.
Pardoe teamed up with Laura Brantley '10 for an 8-2 win at first flight doubles. Brantley dropped a tough three-setter at second flight singles, 6-2, 3-6, 7-6 (3).
